Selection Criteria
Who qualifies for a listing on ClinicRanks, and who gets excluded.
✓ Listing Qualifications
Clinicians must meet 100% of these parameters to qualify for indexation:
- Postgraduate MDS Degree: Must hold a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) from a university recognized by the National Dental Commission.
- Active NDC Registration: Clean, active registration record on the National Dental Register or State Dental Council list.
- Hygiene Autoclave Logs: Clinical compliance with weekly spore test logs and fractionated vacuum Class B autoclaves.
- Fee Transparency: Agreement to display clean, direct consultation fees with zero booking markups.
✗ Grounds for Exclusion
Clinicians are permanently or temporarily excluded if they meet any of these criteria:
- BDS-only Practitioners: General practitioners holding only a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree are excluded from specialist directories.
- Malpractice Penalties: History of license suspension or active malpractice litigation flags in NDC files.
- Failed Safety Audits: Inability to produce autoclave sterilization or waterline test logs during audit checks.
- Paid Placement Attempts: Bribes or sponsorship offers to manipulate search placement order.
Unbiased Capping Limits
To ensure that directories remain highly curated and easy for patients to navigate, we cap listings to a maximum of **8 dentists per city** (or 2 specialists per clinical specialty). This cap ensures we only display the top verified experts in each area, preventing search fatigue and commercial bid competition.
