Review Integrity Policy
How we collect, verify, and moderate patient feedback.
Zero Tolerance for Fake Reviews
Fake patient reviews are a major problem in healthcare directories. Clinics often buy artificial 5-star ratings or post false negative reviews on competitor profiles. ClinicRanks maintains an active, multi-layer verification protocol to audit review authenticity before publishing.
Our 3 Review Guidelines
1. No Anonymous Reviews
Every submitted review must be linked to a verified patient profile, phone number, or email address. We do not support anonymous reviews to prevent competitor spam and verify patient authenticity.
2. Token & WhatsApp Verification
Reviews submitted with a booking token (received after visiting a clinic booked through ClinicRanks) receive a "Token Verified" badge and higher authenticity weights in our merit scoring algorithm. Other reviews undergo phone/OTP check verification before approval.
3. Detailed Feedback Requirement
We require written feedback to be descriptive (minimum word counts apply) and describe the clinical treatment received (e.g. root canal, orthodontic braces, extraction). Simple "good doctor" or "nice clinic" reviews do not qualify for publishing.
Moderation Policy
All reviews go through a manual moderation queue. We do not delete constructive criticism or negative reviews if the patient has a verified treatment history at that clinic. Conversely, we do not publish positive reviews that contain clear signs of promotion or advertising fluff.
